Gene wilsey's
1970 Plymouth AAR CUDA
340 six-pak

I have owned this car since March of 1976. A friend in the Navy was getting married and his future wife did not want this car so he sold it to me for $500.00. I told my wife that I would fix it up and sell it. Well nearly 32 years later and I still haven't sold it.
I have raced the car for a number of years at the Mopar shows at Englishtown and the Street Machine Nationals sponsored by Car Craft and Muscle Car Review sponsored events in the  80's. I was a regular Wednesday night racer at Lebanon Valley and tried to make Nostalgia events also.  All the time I maintained the stock appearing look except for headers.
I got interested in F.A.S.T. after reading about it in the magazines and seeing information online. I went to Englishtown in November 2004 and met the racers that I had talked to online. I was impressed with the way Tom Cannon was running with his T/A so I decided to try running with my AAR Cuda. I had just completed building a motor but decided to change to make it F.A.S.T. legal. My first race was Musclepalooza 2005. I was really hooked after that and decided to go faster in 2006. What I hadn't planned on was a series of mistakes by various engine parts suppliers and so most of 2006 was as a spectator. We made the last race at Englishtown in Nov. Off the trailer my son Brian ran 11.86 @ 117 MPH. Race day we qualified 9th with an 11.70 @ 118MPH. In  2007 we had a lot of fun made a few races, broke a few parts and hung out with a lot of good friends. A couple of people I want to thank; one for getting me into F.A.S.T. is Tom Cannon and the other is my son Brian for his motivation.

Thanks for the class , I really am having fun.
